How does automatic capture work on iPhone?
There are three ways to bring an SMS into MoneyWise on iPhone:
- Share Extension: long-press an SMS, tap Share, then choose MoneyWise.
- Paste the text into MoneyWise.
- Shortcuts automation: in MoneyWise, open Settings → Shortcuts automation setup and add the shortcut. Then, in the Shortcuts app, go to Automation → + → Message, pick the sender or keywords (for example "NPR" or "Debited"), set the action to "Log to MoneyWise", choose Run Immediately, and turn off "Notify When Run".
How does it work on Android?
MoneyWise can use optional notification access, which you can turn off anytime in Android Settings. Everything is filtered on the phone.
My bank's SMS isn't recognised.

Where is my data stored? Can you see it?
Only on your phone, and no, we can't see it.
How do I back up or move my data?
Use CSV export. Your phone's own iCloud or Google backup may also include it.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual items in the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything.
