Saadhan Charge is a mobile app for charging electric vehicles at participating stations in Nepal. It is operated by Aarambha IT ("we"). This policy explains what the app collects and why.
What we collect
| Data | Why | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile number | To create your account and confirm it by SMS code | You, at sign-up |
| Name and email (optional) | To show on your profile and contact you about your account | You |
| Password | To log in; stored only in encrypted form by the charging system | You |
| Profile photo (optional) | Shown on your profile | You choose it from your photos |
| Vehicles (brand, model, battery size) | To show your car's details while charging | You pick them from the EV list |
| RFID cards, balances and top-ups | To start charging and bill it | Issued by the station operator or the Saadhan Charge admin |
| Charging sessions (station, charger, time, energy, cost, battery level) | To run the charge, show it live and keep your history | The charger, through the charging system |
| Location (only if you allow it) | To show the nearest station and sort stations by distance | Your phone, while the app is open |
| Camera (only when you scan) | To read the QR code on a charger | Your phone; images are not stored or sent |
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- The charging station operator (CPO) where you charge sees your sessions and card, to run and bill the charge.
- The SMS provider receives your mobile number to deliver the sign-up code.
- OpenStreetMap serves the map tiles on the stations map; the tile server sees your device's IP address and which tiles you look at.
- Your phone's maps app, if you tap Directions, opens with the station's location; that app's own privacy policy applies there.
How long we keep it
Your account data and charging history are kept while your account is open. Deleting your account from the app removes your profile, vehicles and cards straight away. Accounts that run charging stations are deleted by our team on request, because deleting one also removes its stations. Billing records may be kept longer where the law requires.
Deleting your account
- In the app: Profile → Delete account.
- Without the app: email summit@aarambhait.com or call +977 9856007007 from the mobile number on your account, and ask us to delete it.
- What is deleted: your profile, vehicles and cards, straight away.
- What is kept: billing records of past charging sessions, where the law requires us to keep them.
- Accounts that run charging stations are deleted by our team on request, because deleting one also removes its stations.
Your choices
- Edit your name, email and photo in the app at any time.
- Turn location and camera access on or off in your phone's settings.
- Delete your account from Profile → Delete account in the app. You can also ask us to delete it without the app, at the contact details below.
Security
The app talks to the charging system only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your login token is kept in your phone's secure storage (Keychain on iPhone, Keystore on Android).
